Hidden Gem Meets Hidden Table

Join us for an unforgettable evening of culinary delight and artful conversation.
When Tulsa based Chef Shannon Smith released her book, The Hidden Table, complete with stories of her adventures around the world, I knew immediately that we had to collaborate! Our Hidden Gem dinners have been a true source of joy for me, connecting with others around a table creatively laid with a meaningful hand-crafted adornment connecting us with story and intention. So, we are bringing these 2 concepts together, with Chef Shannon Smith serving a 4-course dinner with recipes from her new cookbook and Cat Cox baking a ring into beautiful sourdough bread. The ring I create will be a one of a kind ring made in 18K yellow gold with diamonds and rubies. It is truly an heirloom piece that carries meaning and story and will carry the memory of a beautiful meal shared around a table full of women setting high intentions for a life well lived.
Cat Cox, owner of Country Bird Bakery bakes sourdough goods that are culinary art pieces in and of themselves. She will bake the ring that I create into the bread. Everyone takes a slice of bread, someone finds the ring and gets to keep it!
Dinner will be served around the table in Shannon’s dining room and it is limited to 16 guests.
When: Tuesday, September 10th from 6:00-8:30p
Where: 6600 South Harvard Avenue, Tulsa

Tickets are $165/person

The Menu

Yeast fritters
Gorditas with chochinita and pineapple salsa
Red Chile Caesar Salad
Sweet Corn Soup with Red Pepper Drizzle
Indonesian Fried Noodles with Roasted Chicken and Sambal
Crème Brulé with Chocolate Ganache

On Chef Shannon's New Book: "THE HIDDEN TABLE

Embark on a culinary adventure as I share stories and recipes from my many travels around the globe based around different locales and their people, food, and history. I’ve always thought of the dining table as a powerful communal space that provides a shared experience for the diverse threads of culture to interweave. This cookbook is a collection of my experiences around some of the most obscure yet memorable tables I’ve discovered during my travels and the unique people that made them so special.

Here is a recent custom diamond necklace that I'm particularly proud of. Read the full story and meaning behind this heirloom piece here.
