Earth Day at Dillon Rose

Sustainability and Conservation are core values here at Dillon Rose. Our practices break down into 3 categories: physical, economic and social practices.

Physical practices:

  • Using 100% recycled gold.

  • Sourcing recycled, antique diamonds so we aren't contributing to mining.

  • Sourcing gemstones from places doing regenerative mining

Economic practices

  • 1% For the Planet Members - the only jewelers in Oklahoma that make this kind of commitment to sustainability and one of only 3 businesses in the state of Oklahoma

  • Know for a fact we are the only jewelers in Oklahoma making any kind of truly impactful commitment to conservation.

  • Give to Nature Conservancy who are internationally responsible for conserving land important for healthy ecosystems

  • Conservation Coalition of Oklahoma who is doing important work in lobbying and educating legislators when it comes to healthy water ways, invasive species, native grassland so that truly impactful pieces of legislation are being passed.

  • Sutton Avian Research Center that specializes in species research and conservation education. Their educational work with kids is important to me

Social Practices

  • Sharing the inspiration of bees, mushrooms, water ways, wild spaces on my creative work to increase the value that society places on protecting these spaces.

  • Art is a powerful messenger, using art to increase the value society places on natural, wild places.

The pieces we create all start as minerals in the earth and engaging with positive conservation practices is important to us.
