Custom Jewelry Design Highlight: Three Become One, Heirloom Redesign
On my way to the Tucson Gem show earlier this year I had the pleasure of a serendipitous meeting. The first female appointed as a Supreme Court Justice in the South Dakota Court sat next to me. Her story was one of perseverance, pushing boundaries and ruling judiciously in a state she cares deeply for. Later, these details would ultimately inform the symbology I included in her ring design. When she heard about my work as a jewelry designer she shared about her late husband and the multiple pieces she was hoping to create a new piece with.
Two rings were from her late husband, one had been her original engagement ring. Another was her mother's ring, a sentimental, but unworn piece. I took the heirloom diamonds from those rings, along with a magnificent new sapphire she chose to anchor the design and gave her a new talisman of the love that had been shared with her.
The ring features a 2.76 carat emerald cut Montana Sapphire with her 3 heirloom round white diamonds and heirloom 14K yellow gold.
Using heirloom diamonds, metals, and gemstones to create bespoke jewelry and engagement rings is a way to honor those from your past and it's truly rewarding for me. I like the story involved, giving people a way to carry those sentimental pieces with them in a new, personalized way. Thank you for trusting me to create custom jewelry with your heirloom pieces.

You can schedule a design appointment for a custom project in-person or virtually. I have designed jewelry for people all over the country. We take great care to ship overnight, insured, with signature required when clients send us material and when we overnight the finished product. The only downside is that I don't get to see their reaction when they see their vision come to life for the first time!
